Today's Thrifty Tip is about the restroom, a.k.a., water closet, throne room, etc. You get the picture. You want to keep it smelling fresh and clean - but as you can see on the tank label DO NOT use drop ins or other toilet tank fresheners. 

These products can degrade your seals, gaskets and fixtures at a faster rate than normal. Once a rubber seal gets brittle and cracks the water will run continuously in the toilet until the assembly is replaced.

In order to keep it smelling fresh and clean pour in a 1/2 c. of Lavender Pine Sol. Now it's clean and smelling like flowers whether the seat is up or down.
